Today Ken and I met and had lunch in the courtyard under flowering trees that dropped petals like snow. It's sunny and breezy and beautiful, and I'd have liked to go for a walk behind the library to see the canyon but we had already planned to attend the Short Attention Span Chamber Music Concert. I persuaded Ken to do this with me because the email I got about it said they'd let us use exotic birdcalls and there would be FREE NOSE FLUTES for everyone who attended. How can you turn down a free nose flute? The show was supposed to last 15 minutes, but it was really more like half an hour. We listened to some chamber music and toy piano duets and finally got our nose flutes. I feel very cultured.
