Picture poll

I've started carrying my camera around with me. Are you scared?

(Please note: I don't think a person is obliged to modify their journal in any way for the convenience of those who have it listed on their friends page. However, not everyone in the world has DSL, and I like you all. So even if you believe firmly in my personal liberties, vote for your own preferences here. You can check as many boxes as you like.)

I love to look at other people's pictures and I have a blazing fast cable modem connection. Post tons of photos!

I am one of the ones who voted "use cut tags". I like your pictures, and if you set up a filter I definitely want to be on it. And I have a nice cable modem, so speed isn't an issue. But I said "use a cut" for a selfish reason. While I like seeing your pictures, I've noticed that larger-than-usual pictures on LJ in a friends list sometimes throws off the formatting, and makes me have to horizontally scroll (something I abore as much as having to shove my hand in to a burning fire) to read every post on the page, not just yours.

I just want to make sure you don't think I frown on posting pictures period. I love pictures, and I always look at yours (love the moth, incidently...we don't have that species around here).

I love seeing pics. But I'm on a slow modem, so I like cuts for photos. I'm good for about 1 or 2 pics above a cut, but after that, my modem gets really cranky.
But I'll definitely look at your pics when you post them.

Loved the moth pics, btw!

What someone else said about horizontal scrolling. I finally unfriended someone a while back because they kept posting all these humongous pictures and it would reformat my entire friends page so that not only did I have to scroll back and forth to see the pictures, I even had to scroll back and forth to read other people's posts.

And I do still have pokey old dialup at home, and am not above just hitting "stop" if somebody's pictures are taking all day to load. In which case I don't get to see the pictures, so that makes me sad. If you can format them so that they're not humongously high-resolution and not enormously big, I would love to see pictures. :) And I have nothing against one or two pictures followed by more behind the cut, so long as they're not humongous high-res things that take all day to load. I think the moth pictures you posted earlier were fine. (And they were really cool, too!)

I'm really in the "two pictures, then cut-tag the rest" camp, for what it's worth. But I like pictures.

Oh my gosh. I have refrained from commenting/posting about that since I figured I was the only person bugged by it. More specifically, I could always widen my browser to get everything, but I like it at the size it is, so I figured I should just sit quietly and deal.

I'm glad I'm not just being a petty freak.

Another option I would have selected if available would be "Use thumbnails". Since I'm not sure if this would put undue stress on you, though, I'll just toss it out as a possibility.
