I got some really gorgeous pansies today. They're supposed to be the "jolly joker" variety, purple with an orange whiskery splotch in the middle, but instead they're defective pansies, all orange except for a few purple streaks at the top. I think they're beautiful. They also look good with
my nasturtiums. Here are some
black pansies, too. I want to take a picture of the flambe pansies, but they've got brown spots on the petals. I don't know what the condition is called, so I don't know if it's curable or if it will spread to my healthy plants. I really don't want to throw them away; I've never found this variety before. Any botanists out there know what
this crap is?
