I knew I'd gotten some good pictures yesterday morning, but I didn't know they were that good.





I also have some gazania (I think it's gazania) and those goofy plants with the long sausagey red things. They're called 'firetails' on their tags, but that wasn't the name I originally learned for them and I can't remember what that is. I like them. I replaced some half-dead iceplants with these plants, and I'm glad I did. Except they got bugs the other day. Here's hoping the DIE BUG DIE works.

Wow, I'm still editing the entry, trying to align the pictures better, and I already have a comment! :)

Thank you for the compliment. I actually took the pictures with my digital camera. I'm surprised that it managed to freeze the wings in two of the shots. I think you were the one who was asking about digital cameras a few weeks ago, weren't you? The Fuji takes some nice shots. The top picture came out much better than the others because the hummingbird hung around long enough for me to fumble for the zoom :).

Actually, it was me that asked about the camera. We went ahead and got it; even though its a different model from yours I think we're going to like it. Still learning.

Great shot, and I love the brilliant colors in all the planters. Eye candy!

Oops. For some reason I sometimes get you and amiss confused.. I mean, I can tell you apart, but then I'll forget which of you has the hamsters or the digital camera. Sorry :/

I hope you like your camera. I am still a very low-tech user of mine, but it's a lot of fun. I'm a sucker for instant gratification.

Beautiful pictures of beautiful plants. It must be nice to have such a lovely view. Hummingbirds fascinate me, and your pics of this one are wonderful. :)
