Sometimes I almost forget I'm living in San Diego. I see things like this, and they look... normal. I don't know when palm trees became normal!



Sorry about the buildings looming in -- these were taken from a window in my apartment hallway, facing into the courtyard.

I've always thought it would be cool to have a palm tree in the back yard. Unfortunately, palm trees and regular sub-zero winters do not mix well...

I desperately want palm trees to be normal to me. I saw them in south Texas and made a fool of myself oohing and ahhing. They seem like home to me.

Those are such gorgeous pictures. I love seeing how different sunsets can look depending on where you live. Amazing oranges and reds there..

These are of course gorgeous. Can't really comment on the palms - have no experience of these, except as indoor plants - but they look nice.
